Inside March I began workout in Vibrams. I began slowly and for the first 6 weeks I have no issues or complaints. My legs felt okay and I loved the 'feel' of the vibram five fingers womens. We were still not confident enough to race in these people (in fact, I never have raced at all considering March) and I also stayed away from longer mileage runs (5+ miles).

Then in mid-April I began experiencing a 'pinching' sensation within my calf which is followed by an most out spasm. I would rest a week and vibram five fingers womens then try to run again only to possess it happen again (and all over again, and again). Each time it will happen at a different mileage point while in the run and would put an instant end to my training/running to the next week. I began resting with regard to longer periods (2+ weeks) that has been not easy for us (call me a running addict) but each time I tried to run it would happen again.

Finally in July I called them quits, took a full calendar month off and began receiving massage for my calves. I aquired a new pair associated with running shoes (not minimalist) and started to run again (very slowly). I have been back at it in the past 4 weeks but vibram five fingers running only run twice per week and never farther than 5 miles during a period. I am still VERY cautious about how I run but a long way have not had any kind of calf issues (knock with wood).

Aside from the particular physical pain and frustration of being injured, which is never easy, I have realized the 'mental' effect to be much worse - allow me to explain. Before this 'experiment' running to do was my escape, our solitude. The phone was not ringing, kids not crying and Pondered that time to decompress in addition to relax. I LOVED to run vibram five fingers ottawa and was carefree when i did. Unfortunately, since this kind of things have changed.

I am now worried when i run that I can re-injure myself. I run almost 'scared' and don't possess the same confidence since before. I would even say until this has affected my step and running form (not to mention loosing fitness that occurred vibram five fingers ottawa over the past many months with so much downtime).
